ARTIST BIO
I have loved painting all my life. I painted my first plaster craft at two, started taking oil painting classes at eight and continued to take classes or involve myself in creative projects through my college years.
My best expression and talent comes through painting.
I’m based out of El Segundo, California. My hometown is nearby Culver City.
I also write for LA Art Examiner.com.
STATEMENT
As an artist skill, perspective and voice amalgamate to create unique work in varying mediums and settings. Knowledge of purpose and understanding of vast human expression offer catalytic insight to the creative process. In attempt to expand my breadth of skill and connection with humanity, I produce art work in various mediums and levels of complexity.
I believe that a like amount of respect should be given to a child experimenting with tempera as a multi-million dollar red carpet exhibit. I find that simple tactile exercises, like face painting, unveil confidence in brush handling for figure painting. Problem solving with people unleashes color fuel for abstract oils. Whimsical line drawings converted into digital paintings for printing on greeting cards inspires the will to communicate, while web design promotes artistry in contemporary formats.
These mediums contribute to my creative life enabling me to share my work with others.
